Former Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura
NASARAWA State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has said that Governor Tanko Umaru Al-makura’s lead administration, received the highest Federal Government allocation in the state more than two previous Executive Governors who spent twelve (12) years.
Francis Orogu, the party chairman stated this while briefing journalists at the secretariat in Lafia the state capital, expressing that the Governor, being the highest earner of allocation in the history of Nasarawa State democracy, I can hardly show any billion naira project executed in Alago community or his party loyalists.
“From 2015 to 2017, Governor Al-makura in six years received about N309.247,000,000 billion, while his predecessor Aliyu Akwe Doma from 2007 to 2010, received N86,571,000,000 billion, and Abdullahi Adamu from 1999 to 2006, he received N60, 974,000,000 billion.
“As it is, Governor Al-makura in six years received more than twice of what these two past Governors collected in twelve (12) years,” he stressed.

Speaking on the infringement of a local program; Alago’s magazine program on the state own radio (NBS FM, Lafia), Orogu condemned the act, describing it as impunity of the highest order which would be jeopardised the nasty democracy of the state.
The chairman further said the program is aimed at discussing the unity and progress of Alago nation, but why would the government suddenly issue a command to stopped such live program ongoing?
“Our attention was drowned in the happening in the state own radio station that there were activities of Alago magazine which was asked to be stopped, while some other tribes program would be allowed if not for political impunity by the present government of APC, ” he reiterated.
He then said the program has nothing to do with the PDP, but rather a normal program promoting the unity and progress of Alago people even though the present serving Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial zone, is from the same extraction and would be contesting against the Governor,
