Akinlade donates borehole to Ogun community

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, has donated a borehole water facility to Obada community in Imeko Afon Local Government Area of the state.

Akinlade donated the borehole in fulfilment of the promise he made during his ward to ward campaign of which took him to Imeko Afon local government in 2019.

Despite that fact that he did not win the election, Akinlade fulfilled his promise to the admiration of the residents, market men and women who described him as a “true son of the soil and a kind leader.”

The borehole water was stationed at the Obada market and will serve both the traders and residents of the community.

The water project was completed in January 2020, almost ten months after the general elections.

The chairman of the butchers association in the market, Mr Samson Awoyinfa, who spoke on behalf of the market traders commended Akinlade for coming to their aid despite the outcome of the last elections.

In his words: “I want to appreciate Hon. Adekunle Akinlade for donating a borehole to the market. He promised us the borehole last year when he came to seek our votes and he fulfilled his promise to us despite losing the election.

“We appreciate him and pray he continues to grow higher in life. We will not forget him for this project and we pray God to grant his request at the next poll come 2023,” Awoyinfa stated.
