Aki headlines Miss Nigeria Florida Beauty Pageantry in June

Nollywood super-talented actor, Chinedu Ikedieze of the Aki and Paw fame, will be headlining the 2018 Miss Nigeria Florida beauty competition in the United States.

The beauty pageantry is held sometimes biennially since 2008 as a platform that celebrates the Nigerian culture, the talent, creativity, style and intellect of young women of Nigerian decent in the city of Miami, Florida, United States.

A part of this year’s competition will be dedicated to the 10th anniversary fete of the Murphy Laaw Entertainment initiative.

The founder, Mr. Murphy Folorunsho, told Saturday Tribune that “Nollywood actor, Mr Chinedu Ikedieze a.k.a Aki, will be live at this year’s Miss Nigeria Florida Cultural Pageant.

“The pageant will feature live entertainment and culturally-inspired performance that reflects and projects the beauty of Nigerian heritage.

“At this pageant, we continue to reach out to women and Nigerians in the corporate sector, among other audiences to raise awareness of our mission to embrace our heritage and display our pride in our Nigerian culture” he said.

“Every two years, the beauty pageantry produces a crown queen from a pool of young girls of Nigerian decent.

“The winner, who bears a dual nationality title as the Miss Nigeria Florida, USA, serves as the ambassador of Nigerian culture and beautiful heritage in Florida. She is allowed to organise culturally related events that further promotes the Nigerian culture to Nigerians and non- Nigerians in America.

The outgoing queen, Miss Martha Ogiowo, recently visited Nigeria for the first time on a familiarisation tour and spoke to Saturday Tribune in an interview of her intention to relocate back to country after her first visit.

Meanwhile, beside Chinedu Ikedieze, Patience Ozokwor is another Nollywood act flown to Miami for the grand finale of the pageant. The pageant will be held on Saturday, July 7 2018
