ONDO State governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu has urged all Christians across the country to follow the exemplary life of Jesus Christ by emulating and putting all his teaching into practice.
This was contained in a press statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Segundo Ajiboye, urging all Christians to live and emulate Christ.
Governor Akeredolu, who said Easter represents the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, assures the Christian community that Nigeria will soon overcome whatever challenges that might be confronting the country.
Describing Easter celebrations as a period of sober reflection on the significance of the death of Jesus Christ and great sacrifice by the Saviour to give humanity the hope eternal life, the governor asks the Christians to emulate the good example laid by Jesus.
According to the governor, the exemplary life of Jesus Christ is a great lesson that should be emulated by all.
Besides urging them to continue to be tolerant of one another, show and promote love, as well as be an advocate of peaceful existence, Governor Akeredolu asks the Christian community to have hope in Nigeria that the country will be great again.
He also urged them to rededicate themselves to the service of their fatherland.
