Subsequently, the state governor also announced and forwarded the names of special advisers appointed by him to the state House of Assembly for ratification.
The list submitted by the governor consisted of 18 commissioners with each representing each local government area in the state.
In a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the State governor, Mr Segun Ajiboye, confirmed that the list has been forwarded to the state lawmakers for ratification.
Ajiboye said in the statement that “In accordance with section 192 of the 1999 constitution (as amended), Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has forwarded a list of eighteen (18) names of commissioner nominees to the Speaker of the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
The names of the commissioner’s nominee included: a former Deputy Editor of Tribune Online, Donald Ojogo, a brother to former governor Olusegun Agagu, Femi Agagu, former Chief Press Secretary to Agagu, Mr Yemi Olowolabi, former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Taofeek Abdulsalam.
Also in the list, son of the former governor of the Adebayo Adefarati, Gboyega Adefarati, Rasheed Badmus, Prince Solagbade, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, Mrs Omowumi Olatunji-Edet and Dr Wahab Adegbenro.
Others include,Funso Esan, Wale Akinterinwa, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Alhaji Olurimisi Ismaila, Prof Bayonle, Lola, Otunba Timilehin Adelegbe, and Kola Olawoye.
The nine Special Advisers, two Senior Special Assistants and four Special Assistants included: Dr Jibayo Adeyeye, Hon Victor Olabimtan, Alaba Isijola, Tunji Light Ariyomo, Eng Raimi Olayiwola Aminu, Mr Tobi Ogunleye, Princess Oladunni Odu, Dr Olawunmi Juliet Ilawole and Tunji Fabiyi.
The Senior Special Assistants are: Felix Rawa S- Senior Special Assistant on Riverine Community Relations, Dr Wole Alade, Senior Special Assistant on Environment
The Special Assistants are, Hon Ebi Lubi- Special Assistant on Niger Delta, Sowore Allen- Special Assistant on New Media, Banji Adewunmi Special Assistant on Students’ affairs and Folasade Arise- Special Assistant on Special Persons
