Meanwhile, officers of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, have rescued two kidnap victims along the Oba Akoko/ Owo road of the state, while they are on the trail of the kidnappers to secure the freedom of the third victim.
The victims which include, Shina Ogunniyi, 38, and his worker, Lawal Oseni, 20, and one other person, identified as a butcher were travelling to Owo to deliver a cow when they ran into the kidnappers who whisked them into the forest.
The Amotekun officials in the area were alerted and swung into action, tracing the kidnappers and their victims to a camp inside the forest and succeeded in rescuing two of the victims.
One of the rescued victims, Ogunniyi said the kidnappers after dispossessing them of their phones and other valuables tied their hands and led them into the forest, where they walked for several hours before getting to their camp.
He, however, said their abductors noticed some strange movement and ran away with the third victims, leaving him and his motor boy behind, but said some of the Amotekun men went after them.
He said “They tied our hands and legs and asked us to start moving into the forest. We got to a location where we sat. After some time, they became apprehensive.
“They noticed some movement and ray of light and they quickly took the butcher and fled, while they left me and my motor boy behind at the spot.
“After some time, the Amotekun men walked to us and rescued us after we gave them the full account of what happened, some of them immediately took us to their vehicle, while others went after the men to rescue the third person”
