Speaking at a brief meeting with the commissioners at the Council Chambers in the Governor’s office, Akeredolu enjoined members of the State Executive Council to hit the ground running in their respective Ministry.
The portfolios of the new commissioners are: Hon Taofiq Abdulsalam: Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Rasheed Badmus, Ministry of Natural Resources, Solagbade Amodeni, ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Adegboyega Adefarati, Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Saka Yusuf Ogunleye: Ministry of Youth & Sports Development and Hon. Omowumi Olatunji-Edet :Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
Others are Mr. Donald Ojogo: Ministry of Lands and Housing, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi: Ministry of Information and Orientation, Dr Wahab Adegbenro:Ministry of Health, Mr Funso Esan:Ministry of Environment, Mr Wale Akinterinwa:Ministry of Finance and Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan: Ministry of Economic Planning & Budget
Also, Alhaji Olurimisi Ismaila is in charge of Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Mr. Femi Agagu: Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Professor Bayonile Ademodi, Ministry of Regional Integration & Special Duties, Hon.Lola Fagbemi : Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Otunba Timilehin Adelegbe: Ministry of Commerce, Industries and Cooperatives and Kola Olawoye, Ministry of Justice.
Akeredolu had earlier during the meeting read the portfolios of the ten Special Advisers who are also part of the State Cabinet as follows:
