It was a thing of joy for residents of Elewuro Onireke, off Olorunda Aba road, including this writer, to see the governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, commence work on the said road. Senator Ajimobi embarked on the project of constructing the said road two years ago, but it was stopped without the people being given any reason(s).
The governor has recently vowed to complete the road, stretching to Olodo Ibadan road. This is a welcome development. Public funds must be used judiciously to cater for the masses. It is in view of this that I want to call on Senator Ajimobi to focus his attention on the said road and complete it without further delay. The contractors working on the road must be paid so that it won’t be abandoned once again.
The road is in a bad state. It is not motorable. We are looking forward to the governor finishing the road and putting the streetlights on so as to make it as beautiful as a Ring Road.
