Ajegunle residents rally support for Sanwo-olu

THE Residents of Ajegunle have pledged their loyalty to the Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy at a rally organised by a support group called Eagle Star recently in Lagos.

Speaking at the rally, The Group Leader, Mr Akinwande Otuyalo, who was the brain behind said the rally was to mobilise voters in Ajeromi-Ifelodun to vote for Sanwo-Olu in the March governorship elections.

According to him, “We came here for them to be aware that they need to vote massively for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, they shouldn’t keep their PVC at home, they need to come out and vote in March for Sanwo-Olu, they should use their vote to support Sanwo-Olu,” he said.

He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be fair to everyone and make sure that the election will be free and fair.

“I know the election will be free and fair and I know people will vote for the best candidate which is Sanwo-Olu,” Otuyalo said.

Also speaking, A member of the group, Aderemi Adesokan described the party’s candidate as credible and experienced.

“We have a very credible candidate, an experienced person. He has experience as a corporate person and also as a seasoned civil servant.

“And from his antecedents as two times commissioner in Lagos state we are sure he is going to perform very well for the betterment of Lagos and Lagosians, we know what APC has done in Lagos so far and we believe Sanwo-Olu is the person that can take us to the next level.

“If you look at what Sanwo-Olu has done, his impact as commissioner under Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola and from his speeches, interviews and interactions with people you would know that there is no other candidate that has the pedigree to deliver Lagos to the next level or that is better than him for the office of governor of Lagos State.”

Adesokan assured the people of Ajegunle and its environs that whatever they think they have been lacking all these years Sanwo-Olu will provide them, “he is going to deliver and we are going to see many things we have not seen before in Lagos,” he said.

The Chairman, Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Olatunde Balogun said the residents are in support of the rally due to the immense benefits the residents have benefitted from the government.

We joined the rally because, in our belief, this government has done nobly for this place and the only way we can appreciate this government is to support the government party in the election.

“This community gather together to support Eagle Star to make sure Sanwo-Olu becomes the governor of Lagos state.”

Adesokan appealed passionately to all residents of Ajeromi-Ifelodun to come out en masse during the elections in February and March to vote for all APC candidates, “because the only way we can receive the dividends of democracy from both the federal, state and even local government is to support this government and a lot of good things will come to Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government,” he said.

While the Sanwo-Olu Ethnic Woman Leader, Mrs Fausat Olajokun said Sanwo-Olu is the best man for the job, he is ready, he has impressed everybody with his speeches and actions, he is a vibrant man, fit and proper for the job and he will make Lagos the envy of the world.”
