Airtel launches 4G LTE network in Anambra

AIRTEL who has over the years maintained its innovation as one the best network in the field of technology in Nigeria has officially launched it 4 Generation, Long Time Evaluation (4G LTE Services).

The unveiling which took place at Soprom hotel Onitsha, the commercial city of the southeastern States of Nigeria, has in attendance, the Anambra state Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke, represented by his SSA on special duties Dr. Dennis Nwufor the Director, Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS, Mr. Uche Nworah, Onowu Eziowelle, Obi J. Akukwe, Owelle of Eziowelle, Igwe Mike U.N Okonkwo Etusi, Chief Dennis Asakwe, Airtel premium customers, Traders, among others.

Addressing the participants, the South Regional Operation Director, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Oladapo Dosummu, said the company through vast and quality services to her esteem subscribers in the region and the country at large took its time to get the technology right before coming out with the product, which he said would enhance economic activities in Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka and other cities in the zone where it would be launched. He added that the new product would guarantee quicker browsing and download capacity.

He said the company is revolutionalising the country communication industry with the launch of the 4G LTE product in Onitsha, and that the city was chosen because of its numerous customers, been the third largest commercial cities in West Africa Countries.

Dosummu said, Airtel as one of the foremost telecommunication company, we will not rest until Airtel has the largest 4G coverage in the country, designed to aide’s economic activities and communications.

The company had 3G before now but with this new rollout, our esteem customers will feel good. All they have to do is to have a 4G enabled mobile telephone, approach any of our centres for SIM replacement and they are ready to go, he advertised.

commending the company for rolling out the product in Anambra, the state Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, represented by his senior special Adviser on special duties Dr Charles Nwufor, said the effort of the company would complement the work of the Nigeria Communication Commission NCC and drive the economic growth for job creation.

The Deputy Governor, who also called on the NCC to continue its strive for regulatory excellence to create enabling environment for operators in Nigeria so that they can continue to offer better service, he urges Airtel to strengthen its technological capabilities in order to provide effective services and attract large subscribers.
