AHCN elects officers for next two years

THE Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) has elected new officers to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years.

In the keenly contested election held during the 48th Annual General Meeting/111th Council’s meeting combined with the two-day workshop of the association held in Abuja, Mr Eno Obongha, an estate surveyor and valuer, emerged unopposed as the president of the association.

Obongha is also the Managing Director of Cross River State Property and Investment Company Limited.

The Managing Director of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), Ayodeji Adebayo Joseph, emerged as the first Vice President while the Managing Director of Kano State Housing Corporation, Mr. Abdullahi Rabiu, was elected as the second Vice President.

Mr Daniel Makava, a Director with the Nigerian Building and Road Research, was voted as the scribe of the association.

Other elected officers of the Association include Barrister Michael Amure, the General Manager of the Ondo State Development and Property Corporation as Treasurer, Barrister Patrick Udomfang, the Managing Director of Akwa Ibom Property and Investment Company as the Auditor, Mr Albert Afolabi of Centrebase Consult as the Financial Secretary and Mr. Humphrey Ukeh, the General Manager with the Federal Housing Authority as the Chairman of the Technical Committee.

Mr Ugwuozor Gabriel Onyemaechi of the Abuja Property Development Company Limited becomes the Public Affairs Officer while Babatunde Adeleke of LSDPC was elected as the Secretary of the Technical Committee.

The former president of the Association, Dr Victor Onukwugha and Mr Olusesan Obe, the Managing Director of Centre Base Consult Limited Lagos were elected as ex-officio members.
