Aginbates becomes Whalers Club president, promises to operate open-door administration

The Whalers Club for Sustainable Development of Africa, an international Organisation committed to the uplift of humanity on January 23, inaugurated its new executive members to pilot the affairs of the club for the next two years.

In the brotherly contest affairs, Comrade Sunday Perefagha Aginbatse was unanimously elected as president, while Chief Felix Oloye and Comrade Idahosa Moses, emerged as vice president and secretary-general respectively.

Other officers include Comrade Henry Imafidoh (treasurer); Comrade Oseghale Oamen (financial secretary); Comrade Isreal Oloye (PRO); Comrade John Meduoye (welfare officer); Comrade Famous Baje (manager); Comrade Uyi Osagie (assistant PRO) and Comrade Desmond Eke Usiosefe (assistant welfare officer).

In his address, Comrade Aginbatse, thanked members of the club for the confidence reposed on him, assuring that his administration would be operating an open-door policy for all.

Aginbatse appealed to aggrieved members to shield their swords and join hands with the current leadership of the club in order to have all-round growth and development.

He said: “I stand before you today with gratitude and humility, following my election cum inauguration as president to lead our beloved club for the next two years.

“I am deeply thankful for the trust and confidence you all have reposed on me and this I shall stand to uphold at all times. This moment is truly a reflection of the unity, support and strength that exists within our Whalers family.

“I will like to extend my appreciation to the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) and all the distinguished members of the board for their guidance and unwavering support.

“My appreciation also goes to our former president, Chief Festus Esi, for his tireless dedication, vision and exemplary leadership. You have laid a solid foundation, this I shall build upon with the collective support from all members.

“I also want to recognise every members of the Whalers family both at home and in the diaspora. Your support and contributions have made this possible and I promise I will work hard to honor your trust.

“As we move forward, let us remember that it is our unity, our togetherness and our shared vision that will propel us to new heights..

“We must continue to coexist in harmony, work with purpose and lift each other up to ensure that the Whalers family thrives for years to come.

“I stand before you not just as your president but as a servant of this club. I will lead with integrity, honour and accordance with the proviso of our constitution and set a good example for all.”
