Afrocentric Rhythms Concert holds 2nd series

The maiden edition of Afrocentric Rhythms concert may have come and gone, but sweet memories still linger of the unique music presentations, held at Freedom Park, Lagos Island in August.

The concert is a live music concert series originated to revive the African rhythms.

ARConcert aims to bring all rhythms in its originality and fusion together in a gathering for the old and the young generations to feel and enjoy locally and globally the true African rhythms. With eager expectation, lover of live music await the 2nd series holding on November 17.

At the maiden edition, the audience were thrilled to live performances by David Morris, comedian Mc Plus, Mazi Chijioke, Jojo Bodybeats, Hess King, Etuk Ubong, Kwitee, Michael Awosoga and Hathanda.

With this unique concept, ARConcert is set to celebrate African tunes and the composers from the oldies to the present style of music. All artists rehearse and then perform live on stage with the organiser, Abbey and his Abinibi Groovy Band at Freedom Park Food Court. Abinibi Groovy Band, 12-piece multitalented musicians founded by the curator of AR Concert, Afolaranmi Abiodun Olaoluwa.
