Afrobeats sensation, Zyon expresses excitement on ‘letter from God’ single

Young afrobeat sensation, Olasunkanmi Omotayo, popularly known as Zyon has expressed excitement on the release of his first official single entitled ‘letter from God’ set to drop this weekend.

Zyon stated this during an interview with R recently.

“I am excited about releasing my first official single and thanks to God for the opportunity, grace and blessing to be able to do this. I’m excited about this development because it is something new, obviously it’s the first time, the first of its kind. Looking forward to a brighter future.”

The singer described how excited he’s about the project and why he wants music fans to support and show him love and support.

“I do feel a lot of pressure to deliver because its something new, not something I’ve been doing for a very long time. With the industry that i am about to venture into, afrobeats, with a lot of fire lyrics and melodies, there is a lot of pressure to deliver, but I have got a very great team.

“My friends, my family, my producers, they give me the morale, support and encouragement that i need to take on the future. I feel like i can take on the future, i’m ready for it.

“I also want my friends and fans to continue in their show of love and support for this massive project.”

Zyon further said what motivated him to write ‘letter from God’, came from the heart. “I would say it’s a song about me, so it was easy to do that.

“I’ve been making music for two years now, I started two years ago. “The competition in the industry is fire, and Iam proud of it, because it motivates, it makes people bring in their best all the time. It’s good.

“My passion for music has always been there right from a very young age. I’ve always supported people who do music, my friends, people i know around me, i’ve always given them my support. I didn’t see myself doing music until 2 years ago, when Teni, the entertainer visited South Africa, and i was in the studio with her for some days, and i kept listening to one of her songs, that’s how it started. I jumped on one of her tracks and got encouraged by her and friends.

“I’m very motivated by many artistes in the industry. Music is a very vast industry and it gives people the opportunity to express their own view of life in their own unique ways.”
