Africa Travel Content Creators Conference set to hold in South Africa

With the success recorded at the maiden edition of Africa Travel Content Creators Conference, hosted in Lagos, Nigeria, the organisers have secured a host country for the second edition.

Preparations for the MICE show is already in top gear to converge on the city of the Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa.

Speaking with Travelpulse and MICE, the Founder of Taste of Africa Vibes, Mr Jibola Oluseye Abati, who is also the Convener of the  Africa Travel Content Creators Conference, said that effort are in top gear to host the South Africa version of the event, adding that it is an African project aimed at reprojecting the continent in good light through travel content creators.

According to Abati: “The world is so vast that there are many options to choose from, so travellers will usually search for good content to find the perfect place, adventure, hotel, attraction, restaurant, etc. The travel industry creates all types of content to attract visitors and offer them a great experience to generate more content.

“So to effectively promote Africa better, we need to get our content right and to do thing the right way we must have well-equipped content creators to do this. This is what we are trying to do through the conference and by taking it around Africa, it will help to broaden the scope of message to promote Africa right.

“For this year event which is going to Cape Town in South Africa, we have secured our venue and trying to put other things in place to make the rainbow nation version of the conference a grand one.

“Travel content can influence thousands of customer decisions by aligning proper strategic approaches. Travellers fancy broadening their horizons and learning more about their favorite cultures. Here, you can stimulate long-lasting relationships and guide them through an inspirational journey!

“So we are coming out with the full schedule in the coming weeks for people who will be attending the South Africa edition. Already, we have been receiving green light from different Travel content creators who have signified interest to attend and also to share their experiences.”

Abati disclosed to Travelpulse and MICE that Africans are happy to leverage on the opportunities the travel content creators conference is expected to break in  the promotion and image space of Africa.
