‘AfriCA’ calls for entry for maiden comedy award

Talented comedians from across Africa have been invited to submit their nominations for the maiden edition of the Africa Comedy Awards between May 23 and July 6 2018.

Nominess will be announced on July 13 and winners will be declared live at the The African Comedy Awards on the 26th of August in Lagos, Nigeria.

With the theme, DefineYourFunny, AfriCAs 2018 will parade a spotlight of comedy activities, a showcase of diversity in African comedy as well as honouring talents and passion across the continent.

The award is divided into three broad categories: Honorary Award, Performance and Content Creation. The call for entry accepts eligible entries for all three categories.

The comedy award is powered by ULive Africa, a division of Universal Music Group in association with Comedy Central, MTV Base, BET and the Human Discretion Company.
