In a thrilling semi-final match held on February 7th, 2024, the Super Eagles vanquished the Bafana-Bafana of South Africa 4-2 on penalties, securing their place in the coveted final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Despite a fiercely contested game that ended 1-1 after extra time, the three-time champions displayed unwavering determination. They now await either hosts Ivory Coast or the Democratic Republic of Congo, who will clash later, in the ultimate showdown on Sunday.
