Adeleke, Osun PDP leaders meet to resolve acrimonies, fortify party

OSUN state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday held a marathon meeting to resolve all acrimonies among party members to make the party more formidable and virile in the state.

In a communiqué made available to newsmen by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, in Osogbo at the end of the reconciliation/harmonization meeting held at the state government house, they resolved as follows:

  • All past acrimonies arising from the year 2022 Gubernatorial primary be put behind us, and the Osun State PDP shall be ONE rock-solid political family under the Leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State.
  • “A larger meeting of this nature be convoked in a short while with a longer time of notification and wider spectrum to be held at the Banquet Hall, and the said next expanded meeting shall be strictly on invitation.”
  • The meeting proclaimed the establishment of the Elders Forum, and the elders’ forum meeting shall be held quarterly.
  • The meeting also resolved on holding a Stakeholders meeting at the State party Secretariat immediately after the Asiwaju of Edeland installation to intimate the Stakeholders of the state of the party in Osun State and matters arising.
  • The meeting acknowledged that the welfare/well-being of the generality of the party members and all the good people of Osun State is the priority of His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State.

Present at the meeting according to the communiqué were Senator Ademola Adeleke, former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Senator Dr. Olu Alabi, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Engr. Kamorudeen Ajisafe, and the state Party Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi.

Others were the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, Chief Of Staff to the governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, House of Representatives member representing Ede/Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency, Hon. Bamidele Salam, Spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Alhaji Rasaki Oyelami, and the state Party Chairman, Prince Bola Ajao.
