All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, on Tuesday expressed shock at the death of former military governor of Western Region, General Adeyinka Adebayo.
Olusi, who is a close associate of National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said this while speaking with Tribune Online in his office at Ebute Metta in Lagos.
The APC chieftain, who said he was privileged to work with the former Western Region governor in the cause of politics and pursuit of Yoruba nation’s interest, noted that Adebayo indeed worked for this country, Nigeria and the unity of Yoruba nation to deserve a paradise in the hereafter.
He expressed his sympathy and those of people of his Central Senatorial District as well as those of people in Lagos to the deceased’s family, particularly former Governor Niyi Adebayo of former Ekiti State.
“I want to express my sympathy and the sympathy of people of my senatorial district (Central Lagos) and of our people in Lagos to the family, particularly Otunba Niyi Adebayo, former Alliance for Democracy (AD) Governor of Ekiti State.
“Like I have met with the father, I have also had opportunity to work with the son in the AC, in the ACN and even to the APC that we have today. I will say that God will grant General Adebayo what we call Aljanat Fridaus, because he has justified it. He has worked for this country Nigeria and he has also worked for the unity of Yoruba nation. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Prince Olusi said.
