Adamawa’s IGR drive

Published by

Since his appointment as the chairman of the Adamawa State Board of Internal Revenue by Governor Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, Alhaji Hamman Jabbari has been doing a lot to meet the target set by the government.
One of the methods adopted by the board is plugging loopholes. This has helped in revenue generation.
Staff welfare was also given a priority, especially those in charge of collecting revenue (various taxes, motor vehicle registration and number plates).
To further improve efficiency, Jabbari gave directors a free hand in discharging their official responsibilities. This has enabled the board to bring in substantial revenue for the government to continue delivering the dividends of democracy.
The government has done the right thing by appointing an insider who acquired the necessary skills over the years.
The board will be taken to the next destination through dexterity, commitment and dedication to the professional calling and unblemished track record of service.
