Adamawa State Executive Council (SEC) has awards multiple projects worth billions of naira, across the state.
The approved projects when completed will improve food security, infrastructure, and public services in the state.
The projects were approved during the SEC meeting presided over by the State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, on Friday, December 13, 2024.
The projects approved include a contract of N1,302,585,000.00 contracts for agricultural land clearing and cultivation of 300 hectares each in six local government areas, including Maiha, Michika, Hong, Ganye, Demsa, and Madagali.

Briefing Journalists after the SEC meeting, commissioner of Information and strategy Mr. Iliyia James said the project aims to improve food security in the state and also serve as dividends of democracy to the people, adding that projects has an eight-month completion period.
The contracts were awarded to six different companies, with the State.
He added that the Deputy Governor emphasizing the importance of completing the projects within the stipulated time.
SEC also approved a N266,386,014.80 contract for the procurement of services of a consulting firm to establish and deploy Advanced Biometric Data for all civil servants and pensioners in the state.
This move aims to eliminate instances of multiple salaries beneficiaries and enhance accountability and efficiency in salary administration. The contract was awarded to I-Tech Platform Limited, with a three-month completion period.
Other projects approved by the SEC include the procurement of a Toyota Coster Bus for Adamawa Queens Football Club, worth N204,504,000.00, and the supply, retrofits, design, and installation of integrated solar street lights in Yola, worth N1,331,242,396.16.
The council also approved N295,017,575.63 for the construction and repairs of the failed embankment of Gamu Bridge along Ganye-Toungo road.
Furthermore, the SEC approved N3,533,618,987.74 for the purchase of a CF Scan machine for the Specialist Hospital Yola, construction of computer-based training centers, and other projects.
