Adamawa attack : Hospital decries shortage of materials to cater for victims

DR Nuhu Tari, Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of the General Hospital Numan, Adamawa, on Tuesday decried inadequate medical materials to cater for the victims of recent attacks in Numan and its environs.

Tari announced this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Numan.

He said that the growing trend of victims from incessant attacks had overstretched the hospital.

The PMO said that the facility was accommodating 29 victims of the fresh attack in Bare community in Numan Local Government Area.

He said that the victims, who were all males, sustained various degrees of injuries.

He said that the victims were responding to treatment.

Tari said that the hospital had to discharge some patients who had been on admission to accommodate the new victims.

He also confirmed that two corpses were brought in to the mortuary by some policemen.

A NAN correspondent who visited the hospital reported that 29 males were admitted into the facility with machete and gunshot wounds.

Suspected herdsmen attacked Bare village, killed two and injured 29.
