Adamawa Assembly confirms appointment of House commission, civil service commission members

The Adamawa State House of Assembly has confirmed and approved the appointments of Chairmen and Members of Adamawa State Civil Service and that of House of Assembly Service Commissions respectively.

The Confirmation followed a separate letters sent to the House by the Executive Governor, Muhammadu Umaru Jibirilla and read on the floor of the House by the Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa during Tuesday special session.

Those confirmed and approved for the State Civil Service Commission are Alhaji Shaibu Bobbo Hamid as Chairman, Mohammed Abdu Mayas as Commissioner one, Amina Kabiru as Commissioner two, Aliyu Sadiq as Commissioner three and Shehu Audu as Commissioner four.

While the State Civil Service Commission has Alhaji Dauda Jauro as it Chairman, Jibirilla Adamu Duhu as Commissioner one, Yawale Bultungo as Commissioner two, Ngyamanu Shadrach as Commissioner three and Abubakar Hamman as Commissioner four.

Motion for their Confirmation was moved by the majority leader, Hayatu Muhammad Atiku and Seconded by the Deputy Majority leader, Barrister Sani Muhammad Shehu during which speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa who presided over the plenary session put the motion into voice vote and supported by the majority of lawmakers.

In related development, the House has also granted approval to the Executive arm for the restructuring of six billion naira to augment short fall of salaries for twenty four months and ratified one point six billion naira promissory note to the State Executive arm.

These approvals followed a request letter sent separately to the House by Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibirilla and read on the floor of the House by the Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa during Tuesday special session.

Thereafter, Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa who presided over the plenary session directed the clerk of the House to communicate the resolution to the Executive for further action.
