Actress serves husband quit notice over beatings

It seems many actresses in Nollywood are victims of domestic violence in their husbands homes with the way many cases of serious beatings, injuries, and other forms of violence are reported almost on a daily basis making many of them leaving their matrimonial homes.

The latest report we are hearing is not palatable at all for this popular actress in the English version of Nollywood as Olofofos said the lady had served her husband a divorce notice over constant beatings and other domestic abuses.

The lady’s first name is the same as the female character in William Shakespeare’s famous love book and she has acted in very good movies. She got married to a man whose surname sounds the same as that of the hero of Igbos who almost made them leave our country.

The marriage, which took place in 2012, lasted for just nine months when the lady abandoned home due to domestic violence, but after some begging from the husband’s family members, she moved back into the house. However, only recently, the beatings resumed with the lady showing bruised face and broken limbs on the social media.

So, for now, according to Olofofos, the actress said she has had enough of the violence and had started the process of divorce by heading for court.
