From being an actress to entering the world of podcasting, Melanie Avalon has managed to accomplish her goals within no time. From a very young age, she crystallized her love of acting via community theater, and from there onwards, there was no looking back. At 17, she was accepted into the early entrance program at the University of Southern California, where she gained significant experience which later paid off during her professional career as an actress, podcaster, and entrepreneur.
While in college, Melanie was an active member of the Delta Kappa Alpha Film Fraternity, and interned with notable figures in the movie industry, including the likes of Jerry Bruckheimer, Julia Pistor (former VP of Nickelodeon Movies and Executive producer at Mattel), and Jim Whitaker at Disney Studios’ Whitaker Entertainment. Her remarkable achievements at USC pushed her to embark even further on her creative journey. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double BA in film and theatre, achieved the highest GPA in the School of Theatre, won a Hermes award for one of her short films, and received the Louise Kerckhoff Prize for best essay of the year in Gender Studies, despite not even being in the program.
Soon after graduation, Melanie quickly secured the coveted membership of SAG-AFTRA – the official acting union representing actors, fashion models, and media personalities from across the entertainment industry. She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival for Pablo Moline’s No More Chances.
Now a successful podcaster, Melanie aims to connect her audiences with the top experts in the health and wellness sphere to encourage them to adopt a better lifestyle, through her top iTunes podcasts “The Intermittent Fasting Podcast” and “The Melanie Avalon Biohacking Podcast.” She conducts months of preparation for each interview, and guests on her shows include the likes of David Sinclair, Robb Wolf, Wim Hof, Dr. Daniel Amen, John Grey, Gary Taubes, James Nestor, and hundreds of others. S
Having encountered several health challenges of her own, Melanie worked towards seeking solutions that promised potential health benefits. This ultimately stimulated her interest in the various “biohacking” techniques which proved to be game-changers. Melanie has also appeared as a guest in Dave Asprey’s Biohacking Conference with the company InsideTracker, to discuss ways one can take charge of their health and reduce their true biological “inner age,” and has been featured in numerous outlets for her biohacking endeavors, including Forbes and Entrepreneur.
Desiring to share these longevity tools with her audience, Melanie strives to break the knowledge barrier that often can make the world of biohacking seem inaccessible. She currently aims to develop her biohacking podcast for a TV-show format, which she believes will take the world of biohacking by storm.
