Acting COAS, Oluyede, meets NSA Ribadu, CDS

Barely 24 hours after his appointment, the acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Majo General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, on Thursday, held a closed-door meeting with the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Christopher Gwabin Musa.

A confirmed source at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Abuja told the Nigerian Tribune that the meeting was held at the office of the National Security Adviser to the President, ONSA

President Bola Tinubu had on Wednesday announced the appointment of Oluyede as the Chief of Army Staff, COAS in an acting capacity pending the return of the substantive COAS, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, who is undergoing treatment abroad.

Details of the meeting are yet to be made public as at the press time but our source hinted that the closed-doors meeting centred on security in the country generally
