Popular Lagos seer and founder of INRI Spiritual Church with headquarters in Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called for a united Nigeria where religious intolerance would be jettisoned, just as he urged the Federal Government to act on the 2014 national confab report to avoid ethnic crisis.
He gave this call when the church extended humanitarian gesture to Muslim faithful during their monthly Ramadan fasting.
Primate Ayodele, as his church’s yearly involvement has been, has been donating food items and others to Muslims each day since the Ramadan fasting started.
According to him, “We must live together in peace and unity, irrespective of our religious leanings. During the month of Ramadan, we reach out to our Muslim brothers and sisters by giving them food, beverages and all that so as to reassure them of our love.”
The cleric also gave out financial assistance to indigent students with the intent of furthering their education.
“Many of these young ones are indigent but we must continue to do our best to ensure that those among them who are desirous to get educated are assisted and given the opportunity to do so. This is why we have been helping hundreds of them financially every year,” he said.
Speaking on the state of the nation, particularly on the health of President Muhammadu Buhari, among other issues, he added that “Buhari’s health will be unstable till 2019 if God keeps him alive. We need to pray for him so that his health will not be a pandemonium in his government. The presidential villa needs a lot of prayers.
“The warning by the Northern youths on the quit notice to the Igbo people should be taken seriously. We need prayers. The Federal Government should act on the 2014 national confab report before another ethnic war breaks out. This will help Nigeria a lot. The regions should be given more constitutional strength. Nnamdi Kanu should not politicise Biafra or else it would crash.
“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would crash should Ali Modu Sheriff win at the Supreme Court because he cannot sustain PDP. PDP is going nowhere. The party should seek divine intervention. The candidate that would emerge as governor of Oyo State in 2019 will surprise many people. The congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) may lead to a serious problem for the party if the present chairman of the party, John Odigie Oyegun, is not removed.”
