The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Kano State chapter, has applauded the Tanko Yakasai family on the occasion of the freedom fighter’s 99th birthday.
The association also described Alhaji Tanko Yakasai as one of the nationalists who fought for the independence and sovereignty of Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of ACF Kano State, Alhaji Bello Sani Galadanchi, and made available to the press in Kano on Thursday.
According to the ACF, “His contributions to statehood, community development, and the maintenance of peace among the diverse communities in the country were also commended.”
The ACF Chairman, Kano State, Goni Dr. Farouk Umar, made the commendations while rejoicing with the good people of Kano State and the Tanko Yakasai family on the occasion of the freedom fighter’s 99th birthday.
He prayed to Allah to continue blessing the endeavors of the social activist, tradesman, advocate for peace, and ardent public affairs commentator.
Dr. Farouk also urged politicians and administrators to emulate the sterling qualities of the renowned community pillar and committed patriot.
