The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has called on South East governors to account for the N11 billion received from the federal government for youth empowerment and people-oriented programs.
In a statement issued by COSEYL President General, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, the group commended Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, for empowering 120 youths with N1 million each, setting a good example for other governors to follow.
COSEYL applauded Governor Nwifuru’s efforts, stating that his empowerment program aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision to ensure Nigerian youths are self-employed and empowered.
The group criticized other governors for failing to utilize the N11 billion released for youth empowerment, stating that their inaction is tantamount to supporting protests.
COSEYL urged governors to emulate Governor Nwifuru’s people-oriented programs, emphasizing that President Tinubu is working to address hunger and food shortages, and governors should support this effort by empowering their youths.
