Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar
Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has urged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his party as well as other members of the opposition parties in the country to accept the outcome of the 2019 presidential election in good faith and support the incoming administration in the onerous task of nation-building.
The Governor who call in a press statement signed and issued by his Press Secretary, Abubakar Al-Sadique, stated that, “democracy is about the will of the Almighty as expressed by voters through the ballot box. I, therefore, urge the opposition to accept defeat and support the newly re-elected President since there is another chance to contest in future.”
He further stated that, “We thank the Almighty Allah for the peaceful way in which the elections were conducted. President Muhammadu Buhari means well for this nation and this year’s presidential election is a vote of confidence in the change agenda of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC)”.

Mohammed Abubakar further stated that, “election confirms that both the President and indeed the nation are on the right course of national rebirth”.
“On the part of Government and people of Bauchi state, I assure President Muhammadu Buhari of the unalloyed loyalty and support of people and government of Bauchi state as he moves the nation to the next level”, the Governor assured.
He also urged party supporters especially the youths to be extra careful in celebrating the victory in order to guard against untoward outcomes and finally urged party faithful to come out en masse to vote in the remaining APC candidates in the forthcoming gubernatorial and state assembly elections on March 9, 2019.
