ACC debuts with Yoruba Films & Music Fair July 5

Published by

In its determination to rally and encourage stakeholders to rededicate their interest and passion to the development of the films and music industry in Nigeria, Another Creation Communication (ACC) is scheduled to host the maiden edition of Yoruba Films & Music Fair, in Lagos from July 5 to 7, 2017.

The Chief Executive Officer of Another Creation Communication, Mr Omotayo Ogunlade who spoke with Travelpulse&MICE, in a Whatsapp chat on the event, recently said the YFMF is cultural platform intending to showcase the beauty of films and music arts as a way to encourage stakeholders in the industry.

“According to Ogunlade the festival is meant to rediscover the cultural and traditional roots of the Yoruba people both in vogue and those dying. It will capture our celluloid films and evergreen music of yesteryears

“The fair will encourage traditional practices of Yoruba people especially amongst young people who are adopting foreign culture and practices to the detriment of the Yoruba culture.

“YFMF will provide a platform for producers, directors and marketers of Yoruba films and music to showcase their works and review latest developments in the film and music industry with a view to raising the standard and competing more effectively on global stage.

“We have also fashion the maiden edition of Yoruba Films & Music Fair to track and celebrate Yoruba icons that pioneered the industry and ensured that Nigerians are entertained in the comfort of their homes via their creative works expressed through music and films.

“Right now, we are on a road-show to individual, groups and corporate stakeholders who have also supported the industry, directly or indirectly to get to where we are to.

“We have visited royal fathers, captain of industries among other allied industry practitioners to see that we make the event the mother of all events in Nigeria.”
