ABU to hold 43rd convocation January 2024

The management of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has announced that the 43rd convocation will occur between January 26th and January 27th, 2024.

In a statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs, Auwalu Umar, and made available to the Nigerian Tribune on Wednesday, it was mentioned that the pre-convocation lecture, scheduled for January 26th, 2024, with the title ‘Set Forth in Confidence and with Haste,’ will be delivered by the former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke.

The lecture, chaired by Suleiman Ndanusa, the former Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, is expected to attract significant personalities from across the country and beyond.

The statement indicated that the awards ceremony for degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and honorary degrees will take place at the main campus in Samaru on January 27th, 2024.

According to the statement, the visitor to the university, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be the special guest, while the Chief Host will be the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani. The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Bamalli, will be the royal father of the day.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kabiru Bala, invites all graduands, parents, guardians, and public members to attend the convocation ceremony.

Furthermore, the statement advises graduands to visit their respective faculties for the collection of academic gowns on January 22nd, 2024.
