The lawmaker representing Ogun West at the National Assembly (NASS), Senator Tolu Odebiyi has described the victory of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun at the state’s Election Petition Tribunal as a demonstration of the rule of law in Nigeria.
This was contained in a congratulatory statement issued in Abeokuta, the state capital, the lawmaker rejoiced with the governor whom he said had remained steadfast in the Lord notwithstanding his travails while the litigation lasted.
In the statement signed by the media aide to the Senator, Tolulope Taiwo, the lawmaker expressed his hearty felicitation to the governor, whom he described as a man of the people.

“The Tribunal’s verdict today no doubt is a demonstration of confidence in the rule of law; dedication to the truth, abiding faith in God and the steadfast support of the good people of Ogun state which has brought about the result being celebrated today”.
“Without a doubt, the cost of victory is high, but so are the rewards, far better it is to win mighty and glorious triumphs”.
Odebiyi however, enjoined the governor to be magnanimous in victory and extend hands of fellowship to his political opponents for the progress of the state.
The lawmaker also enjoined the people of the state not to relent in their prayers for their governor, stressing that “if men were God, Abiodun wouldn’t have attained his the governorship position of the state”.
