Abiodun won’t disappoint Ogun West people ― Ex-lawmaker

A former member, House of Representatives, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade has assured the people of Ogun West senatorial district, that the incoming administration in the state would not disappoint them in area of development.

Akinlade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, gave the assurance on Thursday during the commissioning and handing over of a modern hall facilitated by him for Ijofin community in Yewa South local government area.

He expressed the readiness of the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s government from May 29 to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the people in the district.

Akinlade who represented Yewa South /Ipokia Federal constituency for three-term of 12 years promised that all abandoned projects initiated by the outgoing administration in the state would be completed in due course.

He said ” I love to reassure our people that I remain firmly with the person and government of Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun, and I can confidently tell you all that our rights and privileges will be timely and adequately delivered. The development of Ogun West shall be rigorously and jointly pursued.”

While reaffirming his commitment to the success of the incoming administration, Abiodun urged those in opposition camps to come together as one, submitting that significant development can only occur in an atmosphere of unity and oneness.

“Election has come and gone, what is important now is the unity of Ogun West. We can’t negotiate our unity, vendetta can’t be the order of the day again, and the development of our land should be paramount to us all.”

Akinlade who disclosed that the commissioned hall was in recognition of the support of the Ijofin monarch, Oba Awode, promised to bring more development projects to the people of Ogun West.

Dignitaries present at the event include Senator Gbenga Obadara who represented the governor-elect, a former Minister of State for Education,  Mrs Iyabo Anisulowo, a former commissioner in the outgoing government, Engr. Ayo Olubori, Ololo of Ijofin, Oba Moruf Awode among many others.
