Abiodun promises end to educational issues in Ogun

CANDIDATE of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has promised that all crises within the educational sector in the state will be attended to by his administration if elected in the March 2 gubernatorial election.

He gave the assurance while addressing students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, during his ward to ward campaign to Ifelodun constituency, in Ijebu-North Local Government, over the weekend.

Abiodun said his government would placed utmost priority to the improvement of education standard in all state owned tertiary institutions, insisting that education remains the only bedrock towards national growth.

He said his administration would formulate various policies that would address all the critical issues affecting the schools in recent years.

He said: “I want to assure you that our administration would place utmost priority to the improvement of education standard in the State and i would maintain a frequent connection with the students in a bid to hear their plights through Town Hall meetings at least twice every year of my administration.

“I sincerely appreciate the way and manner at which you have articulated your points and i am assuring that as a son of teachers, i will ensure that we formulate a policy that will address all the lingering crises in the education sector.”

The President of the Students Union of the institution, Comrade Akinbo Olamide, advised the entrepreneur to formulate students-friendly educational policies if elected as the next governor of the state.

“Education standard of this State has deteriorated and the school fees becoming unbearable to the common man; I want to plead to you to address these issues as soon as you get to office because i believe you are the next governor of Ogun State,” the student leader added.
