ALHAJI Abimbola Awofeso, a nephew of the sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, is dead.
Tribune Online gathered that he died early Wednesday morning, having battled with diabetes disease for a while.
He was the former secretary of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Ogun State.
The late Awofeso was also the secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) before he defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) prior to the 2015 general election.
