Police authorities have rescued the abducted Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP attached to the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Police.
The officer, ACP Musa Rabo until his abduction along the Suleja-Kaduna Highways over the weekend was the Area Commander in charge of the Suleja Area Command in Niger state and was reportedly rescued unhurt late Sunday evening.
A very Senior Police Officer confirmed to the Tribune Online that already two suspects have been nabbed in connection with the incident.

The Source revealed that the victim was rescued by a combined team of Police operatives from Kaduna, Niger and Zone 7 Command Headquarters Abuja, backed-up by members of the elite Special Forces of the NPF under the instruction of the Inspector General of Police
It was gathered that the officer was travelling in his civil dress, with his private vehicle and without escort or any special security at the time of the incident.
“He was not targeted as a cop. It was purely an opportunistic crime, indiscriminately and maliciously targeted at citizens using that particular road. He was, perhaps, positionally unlucky at the time of the incident,” the Source declared.
The Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, DCP Frank Mba who confirmed the story said that investigation was in progress.
