AAUA Stakeholders endorse Babatunde for NANS Senate President

Ahead of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Convention, the Council of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Ondo State Stakeholders has unanimously endorsed Comrade Akinteye Babatunde as its sole candidate for the post of Senate President.

The council said Babatunde was considered for the position following his track records coupled with his unique style of leadership, saying this prompted the council to throw its full weight behind the aspiration of Babatunde

Addressing newsmen after the endorsement in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the secretary to the council, Adekanye Mayomi, said the council believed that the candidature of Babatunde for the next NANS Senate President was in the interest of all.

He said, “The council highlighted the antecedents of Babtee and compared them with those of other fellow candidates, which was inimitable and subsequently led to his endorsement.”

“Furthermore, all AAUAites and Nigerian students are urged to give Comrade Akinteye Babatunde (Babtee) their full support in ensuring the realisation of this mandate. I believe that Babtee stands for integrity and accountability.”

“Lastly, the Council, while making its endorsement public, urged all stakeholders in Nigeria to promote peace and protect the integrity of the association in the forthcoming convention and election, stating that a smooth transition is key to continued governance and quality representation.”
