Aare Ona Kakanfo: Zaki Arigidi congratulates Gani Adams

The traditional ruler of Arigidi Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, the Zaki of Arigidi, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, has described the appointment of the National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC,) Otunba Gani Adams, as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, “as a well deserved honour.”

Oba Olanipekun, who stated while addressing reporters in Arigidi, congratulated Adams on his appointment, saying “this is a well deserved honour.”

He added that Adams is a courageous leader and patriotic Yoruba leader whose contributions to the development of the race is highly commendable.

 He said: ” I congratulate Otunba Gani Adams on the conferment of the ancient title of Aare Ona Kakanfo (Field Marshal of the Yoruba) on him by the Alaafin of Oyo.

“He is courageous, fearless, strong, loyal and disciplined. He is a warrior’s warrior and he will never bow to the enemy.”

“The appointment is a well deserved one for a distinguished son of Arigidi. He is a blessing to the entire Yoruba race.”

The monarch noted that the appointment would further spur Adams up to do more for the Yoruba race

“I am confident that this appointment will bring out the best in Otunba Gani Adams to contribute his quota to the development of the entire Yoruba race,” he added

Zaki Arigidi is the monarch of the town where Adams hailed from.
