9th National Assembly: All set as lawmakers ready to inaugurate NASS, elect new leaders

All is now set for the official inauguration of the Ninth National Assembly expected to start from 10.00 am
Consequently, lawmakers of the two chambers, the Senate and the House of Representatives, their guests and others have started trooping into the National Assembly Complex for the event
However, both vehicular and human traffic movement into the National Assembly complex were restricted to only accredited lawmakers, guests and others through only the SGF and  the Presidential Villa gate, while the main entrance adjacent the popular Eagle Square was shut down completely..
Following this development, the frontage of the complex adjacent to the popular Eagle Square and the Federal Secretariat have been taken over by hundreds people.
Many food vendors,  traders and hawkers took the advantage to hawk their goods.
It was also observed that this development has led to heavy traffic jam in the axis.
However, at the both Chambers, lawmakers have started taking their seats.
About 50 lawmakers loyal to  Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and Idris Wase, the anointed candidates of the APC for Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively, just arrived the House Chamber now shouting,”
