9izzy Set to Shake Nigerian Music Industry, Unveils New Single featuring Peruzzi

While the three Trojan Horse (Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy) of the Nigerian music industry take the final laps of their career, and the other underground artiste are all set to take over from them, one of the artiste who sound more intentional and prepared to take over is 9izzy.

Born close to three decades ago, the artiste who currently lives in Lagos has always found succour in music. Things took a little shape when he decided to give music a chance by creating music for himself and later for the world.

The year of experimentation seems to have paid off as he set to shake the music industry with his love, party, and life-shaped song. While he rarely posts on Instagram, 9izzy spends a large chunk of his time in the music industry, around top artiste and strategic industry players.

No wonder, 9izzy’s level of meticulousness with his sounds and craft has been raved about by the fans and critics alike. With months to the end of 2023, 9izzy looks set to dominate the music space in 2024 and years to come.

9izzy’s new single “Sexy Mama,” which features former Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) signee, Peruzzi, finds both artistes serenading the listeners about their love interest. Peruzzi becomes the sauce to 9izzy’s sumptuous meal in this song.

According to the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede graduate, “Sexy Mama,” was inspired by a personal experience. The lyrics and melody came to him during a moment of reflection, and I felt it was a story that needed to be shared through music.

The new single is expected to serve as the lead single to a ‘yet to be named’ extended play slated for release in 2024. The EP is a collection of songs that explore various themes and emotions. It’s a mix of different genres and styles, and each track has its own unique story to tell, it’s a reflection of 9izzy’s journey and experiences.
