913 army officers affected in massive shakeup

THE Nigerian Army has affected a massive shakeup of about 913 senior officers from the rank of major generals to second lieutenants.

Among the officers affected are two major generals, nine brigadier generals, 247 colonels, 92 Lt colonels, 123 majors, 171 captains, 93 lieutenants and 43 second lieutenants.

In signal signed by the military secretary army, Major General Garuba, to all army formations and departments, stated that the postings take effect from January 1, 2017.

The signal titled posting and appointment/amendment/deletion of Nigeria Army officers has Major General AG Okunolola from DHQ to AWCN as commandant, Major General J. A. Orokpo Defence Space Agency and Brigadier General Odior to DHQ.
