6 undergraduates feared dead in Ekiti auto crash

AN accident at Iworoko Road in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, has claimed the lives of six undergraduates.

Witnesses said the accident occurred near the Ekiti State University gate and claimed that there were seven victims  said to be students of the institution.

They added in their claims that the car the students were travelling in collided with a mini bus, adding that six of the victims died on the spot.

However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Alberto Adeyemi, while confirming the incident, said his men had recorded five deaths.

Witnesses said their bodies had been taken to the mortuary by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
