The American Fantail Pigeon is one of the Fantail pigeons in the world. However, they are quite similar to the Indian fantails, but it is believed that the American version descended from Giant Hungarian, Giant Runt, and King Pigeons.
American fantail pigeons have a variety of colours which are: black, white, yellow, blue, golden, red, and silver.

They are not good at flying because of the weight of their tail. In other words, American fantails cannot fly for a long period because they have a limited ability to do so.

American fantail pigeons breed about 3 to 6 times a year. They feed their chicks very well but not as well as other pigeon breeds. So, their chicks are mostly hand-fed as it improves their growth.
They have a beautiful appearance with a fan-shaped tail that consists of about 30 to 40 feathers — this is more than the regular feathers of other pigeon families, which are between 12 to 14 feathers.
American fantails are gentle, but some can be aggressive. They are usually on the ground and kept in flocks, except when it’s time for mating, they pair.
