52 healthcare centres offer free medical services in Kebbi ― KECHEMA

The Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KECHEMA) has confirmed that no fewer than 45 designed primary healthcare and 7 secondary healthcare centres are now being accessed by the people in the state.

Head of Media and Publicity of KECHEMA, Aliyu Jajirma in a press statement made available to Tribune Online stated that the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Jafar Augie Muhammed expressed delight in the manner beneficiaries are accessing Healthcare services across the State.

Dr Mohammed who spoke through the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Suleiman Usman Kanya told the media team of the Agency that the level of Healthcare awareness in Zuru Emirate is highly Commendable.

He cited an example of Zuru Primary Healthcare Center where a total of 2,831 people had registered early this year and out of which 69.5 per cent have accessed the free medical services.

Also, the primary healthcare centre, according to him had employed additional human resources and provided an unhindered supply of commodities as a result of funds credited to it by KECHEMA.

Dr Mohammed revealed that some patients under the primary healthcare centre has benefited under referral cases and had accessed free Secondary Healthcare facilities.

He commended the Officer in charge of the Center, Malama Fatima Yahaya for erecting two additional pavilions in the Center to cater for emergency cases of cholera.

Earlier, the Media team had visited Primary Healthcare, Andarai in Maiyama LGA, Koko in Koko-Besse LGA, Saminaka in Shanga LGA and Malam Umaru Primary Healthcare Center in Yauri town respectively.
