5,000 Ibadan traders to benefit from loan scheme

The member representing Ibadan Noth-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency, Honourable Adedapo Lam-Adesina, has said that about 5,000 traders and artisans from market associations, cooperative societies and artisan groups are to benefit from a loan scheme he facilitated.

The lawmaker, who disclosed this during the presentation of financial support to about 350 women across his constituency, said the agency incharge of the loan scheme had begun the process of registration and documentation.

Lam-Adesina, who said the financial support was part of his Omo Oloore Traders Support Scheme, is targeted at petty traders and small-scale business operators in the constituency.

While appealing to beneficiaries to make the best use of the privilege, he  assured the constituents of his continuous support in providing necessary assistance to alleviate poverty in the constituency.

The loan scheme was instituted last year.
