However, the province also has a relatively lower cost of living compared to other regions, which can offset the lower wages.

2. New Brunswick

New Brunswick is the second lowest in Canada compared to other provinces — $15.30 per hour. The province has a slower-paced economy, which may contribute to the lower wage rates.  

3. Newfoundland and Labrador

Newfoundland and Labrador’s minimum wage is among the lowest in Canada. The province has a smaller population and a slower-growing economy, which may influence wage rates. In this province, workers can earn $15.60 per hour as minimum wage. 

4. Quebec

Quebec is one of the provinces with the lowest minimum wage in the country. However, the province has a vibrant economy with opportunities in tech, arts, and education.  According to Quebec Labour Standards – Minimum Wage, you can make $15.75 per hour.

5. Manitoba

Manitoba’s minimum wage is lower than the national average. The province is known for its affordable housing and lower cost of living, which makes it an attractive option for some workers.  However, workers get $15.80 per hour as minimum wage.
