5 home remedies to remove yellow stains on your teeth

Dealing with yellow stains on your teeth can be challenging and frustrating, especially if you intensely desire white teeth. If you’ve been worried about getting rid of this situation, this article explains how home remedies can help.

Let’s examine the home remedies that can give you the white teeth of your dreams.

1. Charcoal powder

You might be familiar with this, especially if you spent most of your childhood with a typical Nigerian family. You can apply charcoal powder or cotton wool to your toothbrush. While this will do a great job attacking the yellow stains on your teeth, it is safe to avoid using it daily because of its harsh and corrosive characteristics, which are unhealthy for your teeth.

2. Baking soda mixed with lemon or water.

It’s the same, except you can form a paste from baking soda using water or lemon. Apply either one to your toothbrush and brush your teeth softly to get rid of stains.

Baking soda neutralises acids in your mouth, preventing tooth decay. It is very effective for giving you the white teeth you desire and improving your oral health overall.

3. Apple cider vinegar

How can you remove yellow stains on your teeth using apple cider vinegar? Pour a decent amount into a container and mix with water. Then, use the liquid to rinse your mouth, remove stains, freshen your breath, etc. However, you must consistently repeat the process to get the desired results.

You can also dip your finger into the mixture we discussed earlier and rub it on your teeth simultaneously for about two minutes, then rinse your mouth with water.

4. Turmeric powder and coconut oil

Applying turmeric powder when brushing will help remove yellow stains on your teeth. Mixing the powder with the oil could help the turmeric paste stick to your teeth rather than fall off. It’ll also give it a form of consistency.

5. Swishing coconut oil

You can also treat yellow stains on your teeth by coating the inner part of your mouth with coconut oil, say, about two spoons, and swishing it for a few minutes.

All in all, your best bet at reducing the stains on your teeth is to brush regularly. Also, despite your desire for white teeth, remember that it’s okay to have stains on your teeth as you age. In other words, prioritise oral health above the colour of your teeth.
