A total of 430 Niger State Pilgrims are to be airlifted from the King AbdulAzeez International Airport, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, to Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, to arrive in the evening.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Jibrin Usman Kodo, adding that, to that effect, the Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded the luggage checks and weighing for the fifth batch of pilgrims to be airlifted back home tomorrow, Bi-iznillah.
The local government areas to be airlifted, according to the statement, include Lapai, Lavun, leftovers of Bosso, and Chanchaga LGAs, among others.
The statement added that with the fifth batch ready to be airlifted on Saturday, the Board has successfully airlifted more than 60 per cent of its pilgrims, indicating that the exercise has been seamless so far
The Board has assured that the schedule of subsequent flights will be communicated accordingly as the plans unfold.
