4,000 Adamawa indigenes to be repatriated from Cameroon

The technical working group for repatriation of Nigeria refugees in Cameroon says 4,000 Adamawa indigenes are residing as refugees in Cameroon will be repatriated.
The refugees fled the state due to security challenges that affected their areas in recent times and seek refuge in that country.
Receiving the delegation at the Government House Yola, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed the readiness of his administration to receive all the refugees back home safely.
Adamawa state government is ever ready to facilitate the repatriation exercise; a technical committee to support the refugees when they are back home will be constituted. He said
Fintiri commended the Group and the Cameroonian authorities for taking care of the refugees and expressed the willingness of his administration to support the group in the task of repatriation exercise.
Hajiya Sadiya Umaru Farouq, Federal Commissioner in charge of National Refugees Commission said the visit was to intimate the Governor on the plan to start repatriating Adamawa refugees in Cameroon.
Hajiya Farouq said the exercise would soon commence and appealed to the state government to give necessary support and assistance for the success of the exercise.
